Boulevard Park has had two different supermarkets at different times. At 23rd and F, where there is now a parking lot, there was a Cardinal Supermarket between 1950 and the 1960s. Lucky Stores, Inc. acquired the Cardinal store chain, demolished the supermarket, and built a new Lucky Supermarket at 22nd and F in 1965.  Later acquired by Albertson, the supermarket was in operation until 2006. The building was remodeled and reopened as a Rite Aid pharmacy in 2008.  See the article on page 1 of the June 2021 issue of Park Beat.
